【Industrial Info】Foxconn and Thai energy giant PTT plan to manufacture electric vehicles for Chinese companies

The Nikkei reported that Horizon Plus, a joint venture between Thai National

Petroleum Corporation (PTT) and Foxconn, is in talks with Chinese automakers

to reach an agreement on the foundry of electric vehicles. PTT and FOXCONN

jointly established a joint venture this February, planning to invest US$1 billion

to US$2 billion to build a new electric vehicle factory in eastern Thailand, with

an initial annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles, which will be increased

to 150,000 vehicles in 2030.
