Food Waste Machine with AI and IoT Integration: A New Choice for Carbon Reduction

Each year, Taiwan wastes nearly 4 million metric tons of food, but only one-sixth of that is recycled as food waste. Over 1 million metric tons of food waste are discarded as combustible garbage, leading to environmental pollution and the spread of pathogens, highlighting the urgent need to upgrade current treatment methods. The "net zero emissions goal" faces significant challenges. Food waste management is one of the most troublesome issues in the food industry and daily life. Chairman Chao-Chun Yang of Han Chuen Group attended the new product launch event of Souka Technology, hoping to achieve MIT (Made in Taiwan) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals through AI and 5G IoT technologies, contributing to the sustainable development of the planet.
