As the demand for remote and unmanned terminal scenarios such as smart home,

logistics, and manufacturing doubles, Wi-Fi technology is iteratively updated.

According to TrendForce research, among the current generations of technologies,

Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) is the mainstream, while Wi-Fi 6 and 6E (802.11ax) are in the

promotion stage. To meet the communication needs of industrial visions such as

the Metaverse, many big manufacturers are targeting the next generation of faster

and more stable 802.11be, commonly known as Wi-Fi 7. Considering the technical

characteristics, maturity, and product certification status, it is expected that Wi-Fi 6

and 6E will surpass Wi-Fi 5 to become the mainstream technology in 2022, and the

global market share is expected to reach 58%.
